Régence Period Giltwood Mirror

Important and decorative pierced, carved and gilwood mirror.
The arched frame is centered by a female figure on an heart-shaped cartouche flanked by two spred-wings dragons or “chimeres” which theme is developed on the lower part of the frame and on the upper part of the central frame.

The double frame “à la Bérain” rectangular lower part. Each corner is decorated with C-scrolls, acanthus leaves and centred by a shell.
