This large Aubusson tapestry representing a hunt portrays several characters in the middle of a clearing in the background with a village.
In the center, two richly dressed women hold muskets. One of them symbolizes Europe.
To their right a young boy presented with a trophy.
In the background we see two men accompanied by a dog.
A border decorated with plant motifs surround this beautiful tapestry.

Historical annecdote: Embodied by a female character, Europe is represented crowned, holding guns to evoke its military supremacy over other parts of the world. The presence of a church indicates that Europe was the cradle of Christianity.
