Gouache on paper depicting a hilly landscape with forests and rocks, a river in the distance and a few isolated villages on plateaux. In the centre of the gouache a calvary and a figure on the left in the distance.

A retrospective exhibition was dedicated to him in 2011 at the Barbizon Museum for his work as a precursor of the Barbizon School and 19th century landscapes.
