Large Verdure Aubusson tapestry late 17th century

Important ''Verdure'' tapestry woven in wool and silk, produced at the end of the 17th century in the workshops of the Aubusson region.
Our tapestry presents a succession of planes to give it a beautiful effect of depth. Its very large dimension gives us the feeling of being in the middle of nature:
Large trees stand on all the height while in the foreground appear coppices of various varieties of plants and flowers animated by the presence of two birds.
In the background, a valley with undulating contours draws the eye towards the background presenting a castle with garden and fountain evoking the presence of man.
We call verdure a tapestry whose main theme is nature. These compositions were mainly created with an ornamental concern; As evidenced by our tapestry which also presents a very decorative border where elegant bouquets of flowers intertwined with foliage abound.
We will notice the freshness of the colorful palette of the weaving illustrating vegetation in many shades of green.
This tapestry is lined.
A Velcro fastening system allows it to be easily fixed.
