Two armchairs, possibly forming a pair, in lacquered beech, stamped JB Boulard and bearing an unidentified ownership mark, transitional style, Louis XV period.

Jean-Baptiste Boulard (1725-1789), received his master's degree in 1754, and was one of the principal carpenters and suppliers to the Crown under Louis XVI and Louis XVI.
Condition report: restored and reupholstered in January 2025. Perfect condition. Small difference in the armrest.
-Please note that the Transition style does not exist “historically”, but corresponds to a new artistic movement that began in 1760, under Louis XV.
