"A voyeuse", or "ponteuse", is a type of chair created by cabinetmakers in the mid-18th century for the pastimes of social life. It was in use until the end of the 19th century. This "ponteuse" chair is stamped by Pierre-François Guignard, received master on January 21, 1767, molded, its seat is low and rests on 4 tapered and fluted legs.
