Large dish à la Bérain Montpellier 1st third of the 18th century

Large rectangular earthenware dish with cut sides, decorated in blue monochrome à la Bérain, in the centre with a double-tailed mermaid holding two suckers in her hands framed by griffins surrounded by interlacing, foliage and lace motifs with chandeliers, vases and shells. The wing surrounded by finely drawn lambrequins.
