Giraffe Woman” bronze floor lamp attributed to Karl HAGUENAUER (1898-1956)
Bronze with double black patina and gilded bronze, representing an African water-carrying giraffe woman, adorned with a pair of large earring rings, a high spiral necklace and a large spiral bracelet worn on the right thigh.
Resting on her head is a bronze vase topped by a reflector cup for a halogen bulb.

This work is typical of the style of Karl Hagenauer (1898-1956), a famous Austrian designer of metal and wood objects, renowned for his modern, stylized works. This model dates from the 1970s, when numerous re-editions of Hagenauer's classics were produced.
