A rare Rouen earthenware pitcher featuring, in a rotating design, a landscape, pagodas and “long ladies in black dresses” in the style of Chinese porcelain.
The intensely colored polychrome decoration is composed of the five grand feu colors and black highlights.
The hinged lid with shell poucier is in silver with discharge marks.
The pitcher, dated 1737, is in excellent condition.
