Furniture Port, crystal chandeliers
Superb commode tombeau inlaid with violet wood and richly decorated with gilded bronzes, it opens to five drawers on three rows separated by a brass fluting, very fine ornamentation of chased and gilded bronzes such as rosettes, drop handles, keyholes, falls crowned with a mask of a woman with a coat of arms, leafy sabots and lamp bases.
Royal red marble top molded with a “bec de corbin” and original locks, stamped several times F.F., Louis XV period.
The initials F.F. are attributed to François FLEURY, a Parisian master cabinetmaker of the mid-18th century, who worked in his brother Adrien's workshop on rue Traversières until the beginning of the reign of Louis XVI.
His stamp appears on some fine Louis XV furniture.
