Spain, Catalonia

Rectangular medallion in gilt silver cut to size and enamelled in blue, white and green. It is decorated on one side, in the centre, with the monogram AM for AVE MARIA, surmounted by a crowned infant JESUS the Saviour, holding the globus cruciger in one hand and making a gesture of blessing with the other. It is framed by two kneeling angels, hands clasped, surrounded by foliage.
On the other side are the initials IHS in openwork enamelled in white and blue, framed by green foliage.
