The technique of back-painting and partial decoration with stick-on pictures imitates the very expensive and valuable porcelain of the time. Due to their fragility, these objects are very rare and their condition is often rather poor, as the cold back-painting on glass is very susceptible to climatic influences.
Today, these objects are often valued higher than the best porcelain from the major manufactories due to their rarity.
