17th. Century Scissor

A very fine and rare 17th century steel scissor .
In the 17th century , certain scissors were crafted to serve dual purposes and were designed as elaborate and functional tools. These scissors, when closed, would resemble a dagger, and they were often embellished with intricate decorations, including handles were decorated with materials like horn or ivory , sometimes accented with metal inlays or engravings.
