SCHLICHTIG Jean Georges ( -1782 ) received master on October 2, 1765
Approximately 40 years old when he received his master's degree, he established himself on rue de Charenton and later rue Saint Nicolas.
An excellent cabinetmaker, he produced Louis XV and especially Transitional furniture, often inlaid with rosewood, frequently arranged in butterfly wings. The figure of Marie Antoinette in the marquetry of a Transitional commode in the Louvre indicates that he must have worked for the Court.
