A pair of allegorical boxwood handled travelling cutlery and leather sheath.

Netherlandish, mid 17th century.

Each handle is carved with the allegorical figures of Justice and Charity, with silver ferules, the fork made is made of silver and the knife of steel.

The handles each measure 6.5cm high, the knife measures 18.4cm in total length and the fork measures 14cm.

The original tooled leather sheath measures 17cm long.
