Silver and lignum snuff box of a boars head, 18th century

A silver mounted lignum vitae snuff box in the form of a wild boars head.

English or Scottish, late 18th century.

Measures 11.2cm long.

The elegantly modelled animal headed snuff box with inlaid bone eyes, a chain around it’s neck and a scalloped lid - the symbol of the pilgrim.
