Offered by Florian Kolhammer
Technique: glass, mouth-blown, enamel color
vase, shown in the Austrian Arts and Crafts Exhibition of the Austrian Museum of Art and Industry (MAK), produced 28 March 1914 Josef Hoffmann probably designed the decoration of this beautiful vase for the exhibition of the Vienna Kunstgewerbeverein in 1914. It was only used extremely rarely, and our glass object is even a unique piece with a well-documented production history. Hoffmann's preferred combination
of geometric austerity and floral delicacy is particularly impressive.
