Our pair of vases after the model of F Hetesch, produced around 1870-80 by the Royal Manufacture of Copenhagen, is distinguished by its rare decoration of ivy garlands.Usually , the vases in this very refined design are decorated with cartouches depicting views of cities or landscapes. This vegetal motif introduces a note of freshness and freedom into the very classical and antique ornamentation of this vase.
