An engraved silver scissor case and chatelaine.
French, late 17th century.
The scissor case measures 8 x 4cm, 23cm high including the chain and clasp.
The scissor case and clasp is extensively engraved with scrolling flowers and allegorical symbols of love including winged and flaming hearts, clasped hands and cupids quiver of arrows. The scissor case retains its original pair of steel and silver scissors.
In fine condition, with just a couple of small splits to the lid of the scissor case.
