Silver and enamel snuff box with tulips

A delightful silver and enamel snuff box decorated with tulips.

Probably German, second half of the 17th century.

Measures 4 x 3.6 x 2.1cm.

The body of the unmarked box is decorated with foliate scrolls and fruit laden bouquets. The lid of the box is set with a plaque decorated in polychrome enamels and displays a vibrant orange tulip surrounded by further foliage in a dogs tooth setting.
