In patinated bronze, decorated on one side with scenes inspired by Antiquity: a chariot harnessed to two prancing horses driven by an charioteer, leading a warrior into battle, both wearing Corinthian helmets; on the other side, a rider fighting a foot soldier. On the shoulder, two small horizontal handles and two larger vertical handles imitate the shape of a spur, with two stylized wolf heads at the base.
Square base with cut angles in black stone.
Antique oil lamp.
The prototype for these spindle-shaped vases with vertical handles was designed by Asselin in 1804. Two such vases were delivered to Trianon in 1805.
