Corpus Christi, made of ivory,
signed W. Pompe, fecit, Anvers 14-4-1770
Walter Pompe was born in Lith in 1703, died in Antwerp in 1777. He is known for his Christ statues on the cross in ivory and palm wood. A few pulpits by Walter Pompe are also known, in Ravenstein and Hoboken.
