Lion of republic of Venice

Rectangular sculpture in red Verona stone, representing the winged lion of the Republic of Venice, lion of Saint Mark.
the entire body of the lion is seen in profile, resting on three legs while the right front rests on the book, symbol of peace.
This is the typical representation of flags and large statues.

NB: good general condition, patina of use corresponding to a sculpture remaining outdoors for almost three hundred years.
