"Oedipus led by Antigone", Continuing his Curse, having lost his sight, Oedipus, monumental, leans on his daughter Antigone, who is also his sister, as on a vital thread. Antigone is very small here, as if to underline the fragility of her innocence in the face of implacable destiny. Immersed in the vastness of a deserted landscape of bluish coldness, the scene generates a feeling of metaphysical anguish. In its crude pictorial execution, our modest painting looks powerful and impressive.
