Head of Chimaera (France, 13th century). Nice little fellow! Prechristian in origin but these demons/monsters were picked up by christian (and other) artists in order to ward off evil spirits. Weathered and with expressive patination. Limestone. Dimensions (without stand): 17x9,5x8,5cm.
