Our monstrance is made of silver-plated copper from Tyrol or southern Germany, Augsburg region. The lunula receives a delicate and precious assembly of golden threads, where there is a central relic of Saint Marcellin, Martyr. It is surrounded by four relics, including probably those of Saint Bacchus, Saint Prosper and Saint Baptist.
On the second side of our monstrance, on the back of the main relic, there is a Roman family scene represented on an oval medallion. Protected by the Holy Spirit, it is undoubtedly, echoing the relic, a tribute to Saint Marcellin and his family, Martyred in the year 303.
It is also surrounded by the same four relics.
