A very fine and rare Directoire gilt bronze and enamelled figural astronomical skeleton clock, signed on the blue cartouche below the main dial a Paris. The main dial with white enamel chapter ring with Breguet numerals and outer Republican calendar ring. With sweep centre blued steel hand depicting days of the month and an elegant pair of pierced gilt brass hands indicating hours and minutes, with an elegant moon phase dial above the main dial. A rectangular white marble base with four rectangular pillars supporting a semi-circular arched frame. The frame with beautiful blue enamel and pearl bead decoration attributed to the master enameller, Dubuisson. Supporting the movement on either side, two gilt bronze tritons playing double flutes.Having a fine sunburst pendulum and striking on the hour and half hour on a single bell.
