Monstrance in bronze and gilded copper. Some parts are made of cut and chiseled metal plates, others are made of cast copper alloy. The whole thing was hot-gilded with mercury. The different elements are riveted or welded. The glass cylinder is in good condition but, although the glass has imperfections, it was most likely replaced at a later date. The monstrance is in 2 parts which fit together. The base is weighted with lead. Good condition, original gilding. The Victoria and Albert museum has a practically identical one which is dated from the end of the 15th century around 1500 and the Louvre has one in the same style in silver which is dated 1485-1500.
