Louis XVI period copper-inlaid mahogany lion paw mirror with screen*, announcing the Directoire style.
Attributed to Guillaume Beneman, (1750-1811) received master on September 3, 1785.
*described as such in the 1807 inventory of the Palais de Fontainebleau, the name psyché was not used until the end of the Empire.
The Palais de Fontainebleau retains an identical psyché,
Condition report: Restored in our workshop in September 2023, perfect condition.
