Louis XVI period copper-inlaid mahogany lion paw mirror with screen*, announcing the Directoire style.
Attributed to Guillaume Beneman, (1750-1811) received master on September 3, 1785.
*described as such in the 1807 inventory of the Palais de Fontainebleau, the name psyché was not used until the end of the Empire.
