17th & 18th centuries Furniture and Statuary
Rare curved corner on a Regency period facade opening with two leaves. These are veneered in quarte-leaves of amaranth wood in wire wood frames of the same species.
Each of the doors receives four finely chiseled gilded bronze shells arranged in spandrels as well as an openwork rosette in their center. Opening the doors reveals two shelves. The interior locks and bolts are original.
The uprights are decorated with two dark brass grooves as well as a groove on the door joint cover.
The vibrantly shaped apron is decorated with a pretty mask on a foliage background. This same pattern covers half of each of the feet.
Ardennes red marble top molded in bec de corbin.
This elegant living room furniture bears an FM iron mark (probably a castle or property mark)
