Italian work from the end of the 18th century, beginning of the 19th century
Large pair of finely carved tripod stands in wood and gilded stucco.
The tripod base in the shape of a fluted wave is connected by a belt decorated with foliage linked by a ribbon of double-tiered pearls. In the center is a bread apple.
Their top, ending in eagle heads with open and finely chiseled beaks, support a curved triangle shelf with a cut edge surrounded by an openwork gallery and finely chiseled and garnished with white Carrara marble.
The feet, ending in eagle claws, rest on a curved triangle base with a cutaway chiselled with geometric motifs.
