A gold ring set with four ancient intaglios.
Three of the intaglios are Roman and date to the 1st - 2nd century AD.
One is probably Renaissance and dates to the 16th century.
The high carat gold ring is a modern take on the seldom seen Georgian original.
The bezel measures 2.9 x 1.2cm.

1 - A nicolo intaglio of an eagle upon an altar.
Roman, 1st - 2nd century AD.
Measures 0.8 x 0.6cm.
2 - A carnelian intaglio of a rat or a squirrel.
Renaissance, 16/17th century.
Measures 1 x 0.6cm.
3 - A carnelian intaglio of two facing theatrical masks of comedy and tragedy.
Roman, 1st - 2nd century AD.
Measures 0.9 x 0.6cm.
4 - A fine chromium chalcedony (plasma) intaglio of two pigs eating side by side.
Roman, 1st - 2nd century AD.
Measures 0.7 x 0.6cm.
