Born in Malaga (Spain) in 1938 Manuel Torres arrives in Geneva in 1960. He works first for the metal industry. He started as self-taught man doing metal sculptures. His meeting the famous swiss sculptor Henri Presset in 1965 is decisive. Since 1971 he is permanently sculptor with his own studio near Geneva.
He participates to many group exhibitions as personnel exhibitions. His works may be seeing the public space in cities like Geneva, Bienne, Delémont, Schaffhausen or Madrid.
He died in 2018.
