Asymmetrical Gold and Opal Brooch, Unique Piece by Neukomm, 1973

Kurt Neukomm is a swiss jewelry designer, born 1938 in Burgdorf (Switzerland) trained in silversmithery as well as in sculpture, he studied in Munich and Bern. Following his father he transformed the family business in a design and modern jewelry gallery. His creations won several prizes in Switzerland and Germany. He got also many awards in Hong-Kong and Japan for his creations with pearls.
The brooch shown here, a unique piece dated 1973, is very representative of his work.
