Rare ring sizer in opal crystal. It is yellow in color, the edges are hemmed with emerald green and linen blue. It has a gilt bronze handle, chiseled and stamped depicting two coiled snakes. The ties are finely decorated with pansies and suns. Mercury gilding The yellow color was developed by the Le Creusot crystal works, around 1807 by Jacques Chapet. It was obtained by adding antimony sulphide. It often turns amber, while our cut is a pretty clear yellow, adding rarity. Its production stopped in 1820. Height with handle: 11 cm Diameter: 11 cm
