Jules Ferdinand MEDARD (c. 1855 - 1925) - Roses on an entablature

Born around 1855, in Anzin; died in 1925. Painter known during his lifetime for his various still lifes.
Médard was a pupil of Jean-Marie Reignier at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyon. Although little known today, he was a very popular artist during his lifetime. He began exhibiting his work at the Paris Salon in 1878.
