Our two so-called orfrois embroideries date from the 16th century.
The first represents Saint Roch with his attributes, the angel and the dog. (Height : 48cm)
The second Saint Sebastian in agony. (Height : 50cm)
Embroidered in Italy or in the south of France during the 16th century with silk and gold thread, the ofroi was used as an ornament on priestly vestments (chasubles and stoles)
In perfect state of conservation. Our embroideries are mounted in a luxurious presentation in altuglass. Frame size: 80X60cm
