European Works of Art from the Middle Ages to the XVIIIth century
A small, delicate white marble head depicting a female head wearing a veil, probably made in France in the last decades of the 14th century.
This beautiful sculpture is included in the catalogue of the prestigious Julius Böhler Gallery, published in 1988, which dates it to around 1380. A copy of this catalogue is included with the sculpture.
Technique: carved white marble on a red marble base.
Dimensions: 8.5 x 7 x 7.5 cm. Height with base: 20 cm
Condition: Defects and wear according with age.
