The Adoration Of The Magi - Flemish school of the 17th century

Another beautiful work from the Flemish school attributed to Frans Francken and his workshop who officiated in Antwerp (1581 - 1642).

It is an oil on copper mounted on panel. The frame is modern in ebonized wood and Flemish-style tortoiseshell.

This touching painting by its soft theme as its realization, punctually restored, was the subject of an expertise by Mr. Alexis Bordes.

The painting measures 32.3 cm by 25.5.

The scene mixes, faithfully to the production of the Francken workshop, a profusion of expressive characters and bright colors. A precise realization and rich in details with the geometric lines of the Flemish school.
