Lucas Madrassi (1848-1919)
Luca Madrassi is a Franco-Italian sculptor. He began his artistic studies in Rome and attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he was a pupil of Pierre-Jules Cavelier. He then joined the studio of Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse. Luca Madrassi exhibited from 1879 at the Salon of the Society of French Artists in Paris.
He received several honorable medals there for his often allegorical subjects and in 1890 he became a member of the Society of French Artists. He also exhibited at the 1896 Salon of the National Society of Fine Arts.
