A set of four silver and champlevé enamel plaques depicting the evangelists.

Armenian, second half of the 17th century.

Each measures approximately 4.2 x 3.9cm.

The plaques were most likely made for a book cover, processional cross or a monstrance/reliquary.

Each plaque bears a 19th century collectors label to the reverse.
