A pair of gilded wooden torcheres in the form of Angels.
North Italian, second half of the 17th century.
Each measures approximately 88 x 41cm.
The pair of angels are stood with outspread wings and bear cornucopia upon which candle prickets are mounted. Each of the angels places a foot upon a ball and are mounted on their original bases decorated with scrollwork and putti. Both remain in remarkable condition with their original polychrome and gilding and are with little to no restoration.
