A gold and carnelian signet ring.
German, early 18th century.
The carnelian is carved with an intaglio representing the coat of arms of its intended owner.
The stone is set in a rub-over setting and flanked by rock crystals on a fluted band, the reverse of the bezel is engraved with flowers.
The intaglio measures 2 x 1.5cm and the ring is a size V UK / 10 3/4 US.
