French 18th century mirror with parecloses

Regency period carved and gilded wood mirror with a double frame of Berain rods maintaining the mirror in two parts which is in its original sheen. The pediment, topped by a large cartel carved with a bud topped with a shell, is decorated with floral garlands, gadroons, clasps and acanthus scrolls. On the screens, vigorous scrolls of acanthus leaves. On the lower part, scrolls, foliage and florets frame an openwork shell.
