Finely chiseled bronze clock with double brown and golden mercury patina representing a woman seated on an Empire seat and leaning on a tripod pedestal table from the same period.
She gives her little dog a letter that she seems to have just written and is intended for her suitor, whom we find on the terrace, receiving the letter from this same dog.
The dog, symbol of fidelity, makes the link between the two characters and its messenger character is reinforced by the presence on the terrace of the clock of two winged petasus, round hat of felt or straw, with a wide, flexible and flat edge. which the Greek travelers mainly wore.
