Altar In Carved Wood - 19th century

Here is a beautiful altar in molded sculpted wood and polychrome lacquered curved shape.

Its facade is decorated imitating marble. A wooden tabernacle, throne in the center. The set has a real presence that spontaneously pushes to tilt the bust.
It would require a demanding restoration because the chapel in which this room was located was particularly damp.

But we could also put up with its many faults, because the patina of time and its long use also give it, in this state, a particular attraction.
