The circular base is thus decorated with acanthus leaves, pine cones and vine branches as a reminder on the knot.
The acanthus leaf by its quills, symbolizes the trials of life and death victoriously overcome.
The pine cone symbolizes fertility and abundance by the multitude of its seeds but also immortality, and finally, there is no need to recall the Eucharistic metaphor of the Vine.
The set rests on four feet in the classic form of dragons, which chimeras remind us that matter and associated human through, are terrestrial and called to be mastered to rise by Faith.
The four-lobed upper part is decorated with enamelled medallions representing the Tetramorph and their attributes, surrounded by Glory.
