Satinwood cylinder desk Louis XVI period
Stamped P MANTEL and bears the hallmarks of JME
It opens with three tiered drawers framed with rosewood, lemon and rosewood fillets, a cylinder revealing a niche, three small drawers, three simulated drawers, a leather-covered sliding tray and two side pulls also covered with green leather
The belt with two rows of drawers without a crossbar provides a notch in the center
Rests on four sheathed feet finished with gilded bronze sabots
Oak frame
Varnished with a buffer
