Wild beast (UK, 17th)

Head of a wild beast (boar?). Probably from a Tudor hunting lodge. Burlwood. Folkart. Great dark patina. Remains of mortar in the neck. Weathered, multiple accidents and with a tormented look in the hollowed eyes. Strong presence with tribal connotation almost outsiderlike. On a custom made metal stand. Dimensions (without stand): 30x25x25cm.
