Exceptional polychromed oak sculpture of Eve, seductively looking at us while holding a red coloured apple and simply wearing a blue coloured hat. She is the epitome of the female Renaissance ideal as depicted by Dürer or Cranach. Marvellous almond-shaped eyes and free-spirited attitude. A real beauty. Southern Germany ca. 1510-1530. Wear to the paint but overall excellent condition.
